Enhance resilience and mental health with proven strategies

The Psychological Flexibility Deck is a collection of 52 ACT-based conversation cards designed to encourage self-reflection, emotional awareness, and meaningful conversations around mental wellbeing. Grounded in principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), the cards help individuals develop psychological flexibility — the ability to handle difficult thoughts and emotions while continuing to move towards what truly matters.
Each card includes a reflective conversation prompt on the front and an evidence-informed ACT insight or strategy on the reverse. The deck explores themes including anxiety, stress, resilience, self-doubt, values, mindfulness, emotional avoidance, and personal growth in a practical and accessible way.
Created by Stephen Renwick, an ACT-trained mental health and wellbeing consultant with experience in psychology, education, and sport performance support, the deck is designed for personal reflection, coaching, therapy settings, wellbeing sessions, sport psychology, schools, and meaningful everyday conversations.
The Psychological Flexibility Deck is not about “thinking positively” or eliminating difficult emotions. Instead, it encourages a healthier relationship with thoughts and feelings while helping people take values-based action towards the life they want to build.
